Using a spotting scope

Does anyone use a spotting scope with their digital camera? Wife is wanting to take some closeups of wildlife. Just wondering what kind of setup was best. Thanks Terry

Works OK if the subject is stationary.  Hard to hold the scope to the camera if target is moving.  The picture shape will be roundBob

Maybe some of the more experienced photographers here will correct me if I'm mistaken, but a problem with using a spotting scope with a camera would be that the effective lens would be really slow...

Rainbow T. I don't think using a spotting scope to a camera is an effective solution for wildlife photos. Too many variables you can't control. That said, this might be an interesting read for you....
